Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Muhasaba mobile application and related services (“the App”), operated by Orif AI (“we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Eligibility & accounts

• You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use the App.
• You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your login credentials confidential.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

2. The service

Muhasaba helps you set personal commitments, track prayers and habits, reflect, and optionally share encouragement within private circles. Features may evolve, and we may add, change, or remove features over time.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users, including within circles.
• Upload content that is unlawful, hateful, infringing, or otherwise objectionable.
• Attempt to access, probe, or disrupt the App’s systems, or reverse-engineer the App except as permitted by law.
• Use the App to send spam or to impersonate others.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you create in the App (your commitments, reflections, notes, and circle messages). You grant us a limited licence to host, process, and display that content solely to operate the App for you and your chosen circles. You are responsible for the content you share.

5. Religious content

The App presents Qur’an, hadith, du’ā’, and related material for personal reflection and study. This content is provided for general educational and devotional purposes and is not a substitute for guidance from a qualified scholar. Where the App or its Companion feature surfaces references, you should verify them against authoritative sources before relying on them.

6. Subscriptions, payments & gifts

• Some features require a paid subscription. Pricing and plan details are shown in the App before purchase.
• Payments are processed by our payment provider (Stripe) or, where applicable, through the Apple App Store or Google Play, under their respective terms.
• Unless stated otherwise or required by law, subscription fees are non-refundable. Subscriptions may renew automatically until cancelled; you can manage or cancel from the App or your store account.
• Gifts and sponsorships, once redeemed, are generally non-refundable.

7. Notifications

With your permission, the App may send push notifications such as gentle reminders. You can disable notifications at any time in the App or your device settings.

8. Intellectual property

The App, its design, logos, and software are owned by Orif AI and protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the rights expressly granted to you to use the App, no rights are transferred to you.

9. Third-party services

The App relies on third-party services (for example, push delivery, payments, and place search). We are not responsible for the availability, content, or practices of those third parties, which operate under their own terms and policies.

10. Disclaimers

The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that prayer times, Qibla direction, or other computed values will be free of inaccuracies. You are responsible for verifying religiously significant timings and directions where precision matters to you.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Orif AI will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 50, whichever is greater.

12. Termination

You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if necessary to protect the App or its users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (such as ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, provide a more prominent notice. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at our principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory local consumer-protection laws apply to you.
